Why Reddit feels noisy
Promoted posts, sidebar modules, and autoplay GIFs can crowd the feed. A cleaner layout keeps comments readable and lets you focus on the subreddits you actually follow.
ClickRemix recipe for a cleaner Reddit
- Prompt: "Hide promoted posts, awards banners, and right-rail recommendations; keep subreddit headers and rules visible."
- Add: "Disable autoplay GIFs and videos in the feed; show static thumbnails until click."
- Ask: "Keep the post column around 720px; make comment threads left-aligned with clear indent guides."
- Save as "Reddit Clean Feed" to reuse everywhere.
Selectors to target

Stop autoplay by setting

Keep threads readable
Ask ClickRemix to add subtle left borders for nested comments and to keep usernames and votes aligned. If old Reddit is your preference, request a serif headline and a softer off-white background to mirror the classic feel.
